Types of paving we clean
across Adelaide
We clean a wide range of paved areas across Adelaide, including:
Paved Driveways & Carports
Paved driveways collect tyre marks, oil stains, mould and grime, and the joints trap it all. We deep clean paver driveways across Adelaide to instantly lift street appeal, whether it's for a fresh look, a pre-sale boost or overdue maintenance.
Courtyards, Paths & Patios
Paved outdoor areas are for relaxing, not slipping on moss or tracking grime inside. Our process restores paved patios, walkways and courtyards so they're safe, sharp and ready for entertaining or a summer BBQ. No mess left behind.
Natural Stone & Brick Pavers
Pavers look brilliant but easily trap dirt, mould and algae. Cleaning them isn’t simple either, as each type of stone requires particular care. We use paver-specific techniques that lift embedded grime without damaging its texture or finish.

It’s time to leave the DIY nightmare behind
Tried attacking your pavers with a hardware-store pressure washer? Ended up soaked, muddy and staring at a striped, patchy mess? You’re far from the only one. Pavers are especially easy to wreck. Too much pressure through the wrong nozzle can strip the surface off clay and concrete pavers and blast the jointing sand everywhere. The wrong cleaning solution can stain porous paving in a single pass. A handyman with a generic setup often does more harm than good. When you want paving that comes up evenly and stays looking good, use a specialist.
With Surface Rescue you can forget:
- Patchy, striped results from a hobbyist pressure washer
- Sloppy spray jobs with zero cleanup
- Chemical smells, stained landscaping, or no-show tradies
We do it right, so you don't have to
Clay brick, concrete pavers, travertine, limestone and sandstone all react differently to pressure and chemicals. Treating them the same is how pavers get ruined. We match the pressure, nozzle, cleaner and technique to the specific paver, lifting deep-set grime while protecting the texture and finish of the stone or brick. We use industrial-grade, biodegradable cleaning agents that work deep into the paver surface to remove mould, moss and grime without harming garden beds, adjacent stonework or your pets.
- Instantly lifts the curb appeal of your home or business
- Reduces slip and health hazards from moss and mould in the joints
- Keeps paving looking cleaner for much longer
- Saves you time, effort and the mud-splattered regret

Frequently Asked
Questions
- What happens to the sand between my pavers during cleaning?
In most cases, by the time we arrive, the “sand” between the pavers is more like a mix of moss, dirt and organic build-up. To properly clean the surface, we pressure wash the area, and that removes most of whatever’s in the joints, including any remaining sand or debris.
After cleaning, we recommend re-sanding the joints using a proper paver lock product. This helps stabilise the pavers, reduce weed growth and improve the finished look. We can quote to supply and install the sand once the surface is dry, or you can DIY it if you prefer.
- Do you use chemicals or just pressure to clean pavers?
It depends on the paver and how dirty it is. Clay brick, concrete pavers, travertine, limestone and sandstone all react differently to pressure and chemicals, so we match the pressure, nozzle, cleaner and technique to your paving.
If your pavers are covered in years of mould, pressure cleaning alone can get a solid result, but it only removes what’s on the surface. Mould spores often linger, which means the area gets dirty again sooner. To make the clean last longer and brighten the paving, we usually apply a post-treatment solution that sanitises the surface and slows regrowth. The agents we use are industrial-grade and biodegradable, so they won’t harm garden beds, adjacent stonework or your pets.
Bottom line: the dirtier or more stained the paving, the more likely we’ll use both pressure and cleaning solutions.
- My pavers are really dirty. How clean can I expect them to get with a professional clean?
Most paving that’s simply dirty from mould, algae, moss or general grime comes up very well, often looking close to new for its age. Our process targets organic growth, which is what makes most paved driveways, patios and courtyards look tired.
Inorganic stains such as rust, mineral marks from pots, oil spills or old automotive fluids may not lift fully, even with a professional clean, and some porous pavers hold marks more stubbornly than others. If you’re worried about something specific, just ask, and we’ll tell you upfront what to expect.
- How long will my pavers stay clean after you're done?
It depends on where the paving is and what it’s exposed to. We’ll clean and sanitise it properly, but how long it stays that way comes down to sunlight, drainage, nearby trees and foot traffic.
Paving in full sun tends to stay looking fresh for longer. A shady, damp courtyard or side path will see moss and weeds return to the joints a bit quicker. That’s just the nature of the spot.
Sealing stretches out the time between cleans and slows weed and moss growth in the joints. It won’t make the paving maintenance-free, but when it does get dirty, it’s easier to clean and less likely to stain.
