It’s important not to confuse concrete resurfacing with concrete paint. Paint is thin and usually starts peeling, flaking, or wearing off pretty quickly. Resurfacing, on the other hand, is much thicker, non-slip, and built to last — especially if you keep it maintained.
It also costs a lot less than tearing out your old slab and starting from scratch.
They might — and here’s why.
There are two types of concrete: concrete that’s cracked… and concrete that will crack. We’ll fill any cracks or damage before resurfacing, but if the ground shifts or the slab moves again (which it often does), those cracks can come back through the coating.
No resurfacing system — or any decorative coating — can stop concrete or the ground beneath it from moving. And for that reason, we don’t provide a warranty on crack repairs.
Ask any concreter and they’ll tell you the same thing — if they can’t guarantee a 100mm slab won’t crack, there’s no way we can guarantee a 3–5mm coating won’t show it.
